Above: The living spaces were designed with a cozy vibe, inspired by the homeowners love for the outdoors. In the living room, the owners desired a grand and inviting feel. Soaring vaulted ceilings boast reclaimed wood beams, while a floor-to-ceiling fireplace provides a striking focal point. Black accents and leather details provide the perfect rustic touch.
Above: A wall of glass opens the living room to the outdoor patio and swimming pool, providing a seamless indoor/outdoor connection. The homeowners had several vintage pieces that they already had in their home, so when the designers came onto the scene, they worked with what they had and added to it. Their favorite local go-to store for home styling is a Solana Beach shop called “Tadah“.
Above: The kitchen is open to the living room, sharing the same soaring ceiling and reclaimed wood beams. To add a dramatic look to this space, the designers added a black shiplapped hood that flows all the way to the ceiling. White cabinetry provides contrast to the grey countertops along the perimeter, reversing the colors on the island. It is the perfect family gathering spot!
Above: The island countertop is a white quartz.
Above: The wet bar is painted the same black hue as the hood in the kitchen, featuring copper accents in the hardware and apron sink for a touch of glam. Adding texture into this space, an exquisite white washed brick backsplash.
Above: The owners wished for the design of their mountain style home to be simple and clean, filled with vintage treasures and be inspired by their love of the outdoors and horseback riding. The powder bathroom foyer features horseback riding wallpaper.
Above: The homeowners love black and white decorative tile, which can be found in the powder bathroom, pool bathroom and the laundry and mudroom spaces. In the powder bath above, the designers incorporated a playful deco inspired tile. A floating vanity is simple and easy to clean. The artwork is vintage.
Above: The pool bathroom features a black and white, classic vintage small hex tile.
Above: The flooring in the mudroom/laundry room is the Enchante 8″ x 8″ Tile from Bedrosians Tile and Stone.
Above: The laundry / mudroom features white washed vintage wood doors. A large window in the laundry room bathes the space with natural light while providing fantastic views. The mudroom is just an extension of the laundry room, so the designers used the same taupe grey cabinetry and black hardware in both spaces for cohesion.
Above: The mudroom has an abundance of open shelving and storage for their kids, along with accessories sourced from Solana Beach based home goods store Tadah.
Above: The master suite provides the owners with a haven of relaxation that they can enjoy year round. This space features vaulted ceilings, reclaimed wood beams and a cozy gas fireplace.
Above: In the bathroom, a soaking tub offers an oasis at the end of a long day along with a heavenly view. A dreamy walk-in closet completes this fabulous master suite.
