Pursley Dixon Architecture is responsible for the design of this cozy beach style home overlooking a beautiful lagoon in Palmetto Bluff, a community in Bluffton, South Carolina. This 3,787 square foot, five bedroom and four-and-a-half bathroom home was conceived as a Southern Living Idea House, featuring a double volume living space that focuses on the views towards the water.
This quintessential, elevated Lowcountry home features deep wraparound porches and a gracious courtyard entrance. The unique exterior features a double-peaked roof, double chimney caps to match, distinctive siding treatments, and a variety of different sized gables. The 1,110 square foot garage features numerous spaces for cars, golf carts, or storage.

As you enter through a cozy dining area, you then see the soaring ceiling in the great room with the hand-painted wood clad walls and floor-to-ceiling banks of windows. To aid the open floor plan, there are also back rooms including a wonderful clutter room and mudroom.
