Gardner Homes is responsible for the design of this two-story, airy modern farmhouse located in Meridian, a city in Ada County, Idaho. This well-executed home consists of 3,325 square feet of living space with five bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. A charming exterior facade is evocative of a bygone era where life was simpler and homes were functionally beautiful.

White siding contrasts with black trim to create a striking elevation, which garnered this dwelling first place in the Boise parade of homes for best exterior! Stepping through the front door, you are instantly welcomed by warmth and natural light. A black and white color palette harmoniously weaves its way throughout the interiors in an updated modern way.

Step inside the interiors of this home to find open tray ceilings and an expansive great room that transitions perfectly into the kitchen. In the kitchen you will find a beautiful central island and an insane amount of storage in the butler’s pantry. This space could also be used as a homework/tech nook to take full advantage of efficient living. A spacious master suite is located in the main level, while the upper level hosts the rest of the bedrooms — an ideal layout that makes the most of this family-friendly floor plan.

This home is lovely. If I were to point out any design flaws I would say the window surrounds were off somehow. The black door are a nice touch. I loved the kitchen layout with the tech area, pantry and laundry design. The master bathroom shower was a disappointment, as well as the plain white subway tiles, tired of those. Loved the bright tiles around the sinks in the master. I have to say that I would give up the bonus room so that bedrooms could be bigger and no one had to share a bath. I am also so… Read more »
