This timeless farmhouse style home is designed by Geschke Group Architecture in collaboration with Arbogast Custom Homes, located in Lakeway, a city in Travis County, Texas. The dwelling is nestled in the Peninsula at Rough Hollow, a gated neighborhood located on a private enclave overlooking Lake Travis. A fresh approach to a traditional farmhouse, this 5,046 square foot home offers style and comfort. A perfect blend of rustic and modern accents can be found throughout this farmhouse that boasts five bedrooms plus a bunk room and four-and-a-half bathrooms. The design of this farmhouse is inspired by Old World German architecture and the subtle elegance of a Texas Hill Country home.
A towering vaulted great room with exposed mortise and tenon trusses and extensive use of wood beams welcomes guests with a feeling of warmth and solitude. Creating a more modern feel, steel is appropriately used throughout the house to balance the warmth of the wood with the striking elegance and simplicity of steel. The architectural design showcases the finest in luxury amenities and soaring hill country views through Anderson E-Series wood clad windows. Outdoors, expansive patios and a a refreshing swimming pool lends a resort-like feel.
