Geoff Chick & Associates created this cheery and colorful beach retreat nestled on the white sands of Blue Mountain Beach along Florida’s Panhandle. This is the vacation retreat of a football quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers. The beach house was designed for the couple and their nine children to host gatherings with their extended family from Alabama. Interior designer and family friend Meredith McBrearty selected the furnishings, fixtures and finishes for this traditional, wood-frame structure. Adding a coastal vibe to the interiors, the project team installed bunkbeds, knotty pine wood and shiplap siding.
Furnishings were to be playful yet durable to withstand a steady stream of guests. This home boasts plenty of sleeping space to host the large family and extended family. There is also a second master bedroom for grandparents. Along with the homeowner’s desire for ample living space, they also requested that their home reflect a lively color palette. Aside from the traditional blue and white, the designer injected hues of pink, chartreuse, and vivid turquoise. This elevated palette created a playful environment for family to come together and create memories.
What We Love: This colorful beach retreat offers an open and air layout with a soothing color palette. The sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico is the icing on the cake! Offering a luxurious yet relaxed and inviting feel, this is the perfect home for family and extended family to come together and enjoy beach life… Readers, please tell us what you think of this beachside retreat, would this be your idea of a dream house getaway?
