This stunning Scandinavian modern home was designed by Peter Vincent Architects with interiors by Amber Interiors, located in Venice Beach, California. Constructed from the ground up, the homeowner commissioned the designer to create the look of a “Scandinavian Modern Cabin”. The client had a clear vision for their home.
Luckily for the project team, they were very flexible with layout changes, which included flipping the kitchen to a new location. This project was more modern than anything the designers had done in the past, but they were certainly up for the challenge. The overall design is absolutely spectacular, have a look at the home tour below to see what we are talking about…

What We Love: This Scandinavian modern home features an unassuming exterior facade that opens into beautiful, bright and airy interior living spaces. We love how the wood facade of the exterior is painted partially in black and part is left natural, creating a unique aesthetic. The interiors showcase stylish furnishings, exquisite materials and inviting design details. We are loving how the layering of textiles helps to transform a modern interior into a cozy environment… Readers, please share your overall thoughts on the design of this home in the Comments below!

Above: The wall tile is the weathered white zellige tile 4″X4″X3/8″ from Cle Tile. Even though this is a white terracotta tile of a singular color, that color is made up of, literally, dozens of shades of white including – grays, creams, pinks, celadons and even blues. This tile is born from a 10th century tile-making craft, giving you an enhanced aesthetic from the basic white tile.

Above: The all tile in this bathroom is the battled armor zellige 4″X4″X3/8″, from Cle Tile. The shade resembles a standard “gun metal” color and will leave any surface with a handsome and deep gray — just right for the most masculine spaces – or spaces that just require an elegant and stately neutral finish.
Above: The floor tile in this bathroom is the black solid hex 8″X9″X5/8″ from Cle Tile. This solid cement tile can be used on the floor or wall and comes in over 50 saturated colors, creating a surface that is varied, muted and exceptionally hand-hewn.
