Energy-efficient home perched on a bluff over Lake Champlain, Vermont

traditional-exterior

This brand new, energy-efficient home was designed by Battle Associates Architects, located on beautiful Lake Champlain, Vermont. Perched on a bluff, the property features spectacular views to the Adirondack Mountains. A celebration of timber construction, this modernized version of a Victorian-era stick style-inspired home features a copper clad chimney and copper roof.

All the living spaces are anchored by views to the water and circulation around the great room volume. Chestnut wood interiors and walnut floors provided warm and complimentary interior finishes. This sustainable house is ultra-insulated, heated and cooled by geothermal technology, while solar photovoltaic panels assist in operating the house.
