Shelby Wood Design was responsible for the design of this modern dream home located in Mar Vista, a diverse neighborhood in West Los Angeles, California. Every aspect of this home was covered by the designer, from the beginning architectural sketch right up to the fine details such as fresh flowers in a vase. Unique touches were added such as a vegetable her garden and even a dog friendly shower. An open and spacious floor plan was created to accommodate the lifestyle needs of its inhabitants.
High-end materials were integrated into the design such as Fleetwood doors and windows. The residence combines privacy with a beautiful courtyard featuring a live succulent wall and fountain. An open third story rooftop deck offers breathtaking views overlooking the cityscape all the way to the ocean. Every design feature has been completed to absolute perfection, creating a home that is comfortable and inviting.
On the exterior facade, beautiful redwood siding was finished with an eye-catching walnut stain, contrasting nicely against the gray stucco walls.
What We Love: Beautiful white oak flooring throughout the main living spaces infuses warmth into this modern home. The exterior architecture presents eye-catching curb appeal, while around the back of the property, gardens provide a sanctuary in the city.
