This historic oceanfront home was renovated by architectural studio Siemasko + Verbridge, located in Boston, Massachusetts. The project known as “Sea Glass” began with the homeowners desire to create a more contemporary and zen-like ambiance to this turn-of-the-century stone and stucco home. A full-scale interior renovation was the driving force behind this sophisticated design, presenting the interiors team at Siemasko + Verbridge with a great challenge.
The design team applied a fresh color palette, along with new furnishings interwoven with antiques, books, and artwork to enliven the space. Carefully selected finishes enhance the openness of the glass pool structure, without competing with the grand ocean views. Thoughtfully designed cabinetry and family friendly furnishings, including a kitchenette, billiard area, and home theater, were designed to create a relaxing environment for both kids and adults.
What We Love: This historic oceanfront home offers plenty of fabulous details, including the incredible indoor swimming pool that overlooks the ocean. The sunroom is another fabulous space in this home, framing views of the Atlantic Ocean and all those built-ins for books makes this the perfect reading nook!… Readers, what features in this home do you like?
