This newly constructed sustainable home was designed by Geschke Group Architecture in collaboration with Laura Burton Interiors located in Dripping Springs, Texas. The homeowners have a keen appreciation for quality, their design needed to reflect a minimalist lifestyle and a clean-lined aesthetic. The vision for their home was an open concept layout, boasting soaring ceilings and expansive windows to showcase Hill Country views.
The materials for the interior of this beautiful dwelling were selected to reflect the organic nature of their surroundings, enabling the views and architectural elements to take center stage.
In the common areas, sleek surfaces were balanced with warm textures such as a limestone entry and a cedar fireplace wall. In the kitchen, a lively stone-wood quartzite island was off-set by a palette of serene gray and neutral Texas limestone. Simple yet dramatic light fixtures adorns this home — including Ralph Lauren and Hubbarton Forge — anchoring the various elements of the open layout.
Sustainable Elements: In support of sustainability, several green design strategies were adapted into the design. This includes low VOC paint, 100% LED lighting, energy-efficient windows and appliances, and local materials used wherever possible.
What We Love: This stunning home features minimalist interior styling and a neutral color palette — focusing views to the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Incorporating eco-friendly design features into this home makes it even more desirable.
