Sumptuous mountain lodge getaway in Idaho evokes inviting atmosphere

This spectacular mountain lodge getaway was designed by McLaughlin & Associates Architects in collaboration with Tucker & Marks, located in Ketchum, Idaho. The architectural design of this residence is full of high drama and massive amounts of stone. The color palette is an inspiration of warm hues — russets, saffrons, ochres and golds. The design team layered the interiors with textiles, rich wood tones and sumptuous furnishings. The result is an atmosphere that is inviting, functional and comfortable, with living spaces that can be enjoyed throughout the seasons.

“Style and vernacular are always subjective, but ease and comfort must be a given. When the scale of the pieces in a room is just right, the rooms sings, it’s blissful to be in it,” states Tucker & Marks.

What We Love: This gorgeous mountain lodge offers a warm and cozy atmosphere thanks to the heavy use of stone and wood. Expansive windows frame picturesque views of the striking rugged surroundings of the Sawtooth Range. Comfortable furnishings invites you to relax and enjoy entertaining friends while a roaring fire takes center stage… Readers, what do you think of this rustic getaway? Would this be your ideal vacation retreat?

Note: We have featured another one of Tucker & Marks signature homes here on One Kindesign. So if you have been feeling inspired by this home tour, may we suggest you having a look through this stunning home by the designers: Spanish-style hacienda in Carmel Valley showcases inviting design.

A very nice house! I have looked at these posts for a couple of years now and never said that before.
