Created by Charlie & Co. Design, this urban lake cottage on the Eastern shores of White Bear Lake, Minnesota features clean lines and modern design. This two-story home was built for a family with four growing boys, designed to maximize the lake views. Nestled beautifully into its surrounding landscape, the exterior facade features subtly defined textures. This includes white washed lap-siding, a cedar shingle roof, reclaimed timber used on the screened-in porch and Bluestone accents.
On the interior you will find an open and spacious floor plan to cater to the lifestyle needs of this large family. This enables them to move effortlessly throughout their home and to the outdoors. Cozy and rugged interior finishes creates the perfect warm environment for the family to commune. Expansive walls of glass allows a year-round connection to the lake beautiful surrounding landscape.

Above: The siding is painted in Simply White OC-117 | Benjamin Moore. The windows are from the Marvin Integrity line, while the front door is Hemlock Fir. The front porch columns are 12″ square.

Above: The flooring is a 5″ hickory floor with a walnut stain, this material is very durable. The wall is 7” Poplar shiplap with a nickel spacing, sourced from Scherer Bros Lumber. The paint color on the walls is Moonshine 2140-60 | Benjamin Moore.
Above: In the kitchen, the perimeter counters are honed Soap Stone, while the island is Carrera Marble with a mitered 3.5″ edge. The metal range hood was supplied by Raw Urth Designs. The dimensions of the kitchen area are 26 feet x 20 feet. The dining table was sourced from Restoration Hardware.
