A 1950s home got a remodel that transformed it into a beautiful modern farmhouse style by Lindye Galloway Design, located in Eastside Costa Mesa, Orange County, California. This once dated property now features a fresh new aesthetic that is not only bright and airy but very inviting. The kitchen was the most noteworthy reform in the whole renovation process.
Remarkable updates includes tearing down walls to create an open floor plan, where the kitchen opens to the family room. The space includes white shaker cabinetry, a marble backsplash, open shelving, swing arm wall sconces and brass hardware. An expansive island features wood paneling and leather barstools.
Light engineered hardwood flooring can be seen throughout the interiors, helping add to the farmhouse aesthetic while helping keep the home feeling bright and airy. The master bedroom also got a pop of farmhouse, with a shiplap accent wall that adds character. Sliding barn doors were used in place of traditional closet doors.
What We Love: A newly renovated home with a fresh modern farmhouse style and open and spacious interiors. The new open plan layout offers easy transitioning between spaces and entertaining guests with ease. The light wood flooring helps to reflect light, as does the white walls, keeping the interiors feeling open and spacious.
