This contemporary-rustic styled ski chalet was the brilliant imagination of interiors studio Reed Design Group, located in the rugged mountains of Vail, Colorado. The spacious interiors are characterized by wood clad ceilings with log beams and log structural supports as well as wood flooring in some of the main living spaces, adding warmth and a true chalet aesthetic. The family room (pictured above) features a custom alpaca area rug over the hardwood flooring, creating a warm and cozy ambiance. Plush and luxurious custom designed and high-end sourced furnishings decorate the home, while art and accessories adds character and depth to the home. Layers of materials and textures adds dimension and creates a nice warmth to a seasonal home that is just as perfect as a winter retreat as it is a summer retreat with all of the recreational activities that Colorado has to offer.
Dubbed “Ski Haus”, this two-story stone clad chalet offers everything one could possibly want in a ski retreat. With several fireplaces throughout, there are plenty of seating spaces to lounge and entertain family and guests. The first level are the main living spaces, while the second level features the family and guest bedrooms. The basement level offers a movie room, games and entertainment space with a custom bar area.
