Feldman Architecture brought to life this amazing modern home for a couple of empty nesters who have spent years living across the world, eventually settling in Sausalito, California. The original home featured breathtaking panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay yet was lacking in personality and charm. The new homeowners wanted to inject their own unique personal style into the interiors, transforming it into an oasis. They request that the design team integrate built-in storage throughout the interiors for improved functionality and to keep clutter at bay. They also wished to have built-in bookshelves to showcase their extensive collection of books, artifacts and music that they have compiled over their years of living abroad. The end result is a book lovers dream home, a sophisticated library for the new homeowners to enjoy their collections while appreciating the continuously changing views outside their expansive glass windows.
What We Love: This is a book lover’s oasis that is truly an enjoyable experience between the massive collections of colorful books to the colorful turquoise ocean outside the sliding glass windows. Imagine sipping on a glass of wine out on the deck and enjoying your favorite book while glancing up once in awhile to soak in that mesmerizing view… to dream!
