A custom designed family home evokes warmth and elegance, with traditional architectural styling by Highmark Builders, located in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. The residence features just over 5,000 square feet of luxurious living, nestled on a heavily wooded site surrounded by lush landscaping. An open and airy feeling is evidenced by the ten foot high ceilings and open plan layout. Interior spaces were designed to be highly functional with the importance of creating spaces for family gatherings. A great room as well as a hearth room just off the kitchen are perfect for spending quality time with family and for entertaining guests. Stacked stone fireplaces in the living room, hearth room and three-season screened-in porch offers an air of rusticity and warmth. The porch features soaring ceilings, a stunning stone fireplace and walls and ceilings clad with cedar; the perfect spot to enjoy plenty of natural light and great conversation. A beverage center leads to an outdoor swimming pool, to enjoy spending time outdoors in the warmer summer months. There are plenty of other wonderful details that adds to the luxuriousness of this home, such as custom millwork, built-ins featured throughout, strategically placed accent lighting, granite in the kitchen and bathrooms, and a lower level entertainment area that encompasses a bar, media room and guest quarters. Interiors studio Ambiance at Home was responsible for the beautiful interior styling of this home designed for a family of four.
What We Love: Although the home is quite spacious with high ceilings, it doesn’t feel too large. After seeing the entire home in perspective, it feels very cozy and homey thanks to all the contrasts of textures, finishes and the color scheme. There is a lot of visual interest throughout the home that keeps the eyes busy yet you feel really relaxed in this livable home. What do you think, does this home feel overly large to you?
