This classically modern designed home with breathtaking views by Porebski Architects is located in Castlecrag, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The home backs one of the highest points in the area, Tower Reserve, on a heavily wooded site full of lush greenery. On one side of the home are breathtaking vistas of the ocean in the distance. Upon entrance into this welcoming residence, you are greeted by soaring ceilings spanning two stories. White walls help to illuminate the interiors, and wall-to-wall glass above the doorway floods the space with natural light. The interiors have been minimally decorated with clean lines to keep the space feeling bright and airy and have a nice flow between rooms. Glass walls throughout the home helps to bring natural light in and blur the boundaries between indoors and out. An oculus over the dining area on the second level helps to further pull light in. The interior and exterior of the home are all white, with the exception of the wood doors; some wood accents and furnishing pieces that mostly are in a warm brown hue. The white marble Terrazzo floors throughout the main living spaces also helps to reflect light.
From the exterior, the home is immersed into the landscape, down a gentle slope, spanning three levels. Exterior decking wraps around the side of the house and juts out to allow the homeowners sweeping ocean views from the comfort of their terrace. We love how the architects have made an all white home look spectacular to live in. The fluidity and simpleness of design creates a tranquil environment that we would love to call home! What do you think, could you live in this home or is it too modern for your tastes?
