Brimming with energy and excitement, this exquisite renovation project was carried out by J.G. Interiors, located in the Forest Hill neighborhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The designer behind the project designed this as her personal family home, with her husband and four children. The initial desire was to move to a property where they could have a swimming pool, after finding this home, it was in a fabulous location with the outdoor space for a pool, but was in need of a major update. The dilapidated 1930s home had faux Tudor architectural features, something the designer did not care for. The initial plan was to move into the home with a fresh coat of paint till they could do a major overhaul. The renovation entailed removing everything down to the studs, creating stunning living spaces with furnishings to cater to the homeowners lifestyle. Sunlit interiors was central to the design scheme, with bold color combinations and a harmonious architectural design plan. The overall design was one filled with playful energy.

The island kitchen dressed with white Carrara marble and warm cabinets is magnificent, perfect for family living and entertaining guests. An industrial style window floods the space with light and opens to a beautifully manicured garden. Wooden flooring adds warmth to the main living spaces of the home. A shared bathroom for the children has a unique design feature inset in the floor, with a custom marble mosaic with the words “girls” and “boys” displayed in a playful presence.
