Stunning Spanish Colonial Home in Los Feliz Hills, California

Los Feliz Hills Residence-DISC Interiors-01-1 Kindesign

This beautiful Spanish Colonial style home was built in 1926, just recently transformed by DISC Interiors, nestled hillside in Los Feliz, California. The entryway to this Los Angeles neighborhood residence is accessed from the second level, opening into the public spaces. In the living room, the designers focused on making the floor plan take advantage of the views from the spacious patio. Furnishings have been arranged around the fireplace to create a cozy living environment and to help facilitate a great conversational space. A vintage Moroccan area rug covers the warm hardwood flooring, which not only helps to delineate the space, it also adds texture and creates a neutral base to the earthy hues that decorates the room.

The designers have infused the home with lovely midcentury pieces throughout. Every space have something vintage in it to create a sense of history. The end result is a beautifully balanced home layered with textures, color, varying shapes and materials that are cozy, inviting and ultimately timeless.

The kitchen cabinets were designed to create a sense of timelessness, painted with milk paint in a matte finish. The hue of the paint was mixed to custom match that of Pratt & Lambert 2212 Olive Bark. The hardware is an oil-rubbed bronze, creating a beautiful contrast.

I’m looking for a house that I visited in 1960 . I was 7 and this was a fairy tale to me . It was Spanish colonial on a street that part of literally griffiths Park was across the street . There were 23 steps up to the front door . Front yard was wild strawberries . You entered and the living on the left was sunken and the dining was 2 steps up . It had a patio the length of the house but the back was terraced and plants grew on each level with steps up to allow… Read more »

Wow, I love what you have done to the place! I knew what it looked like before and what a difference. Now it is open and airy and feels light and happy, great rework.
