A beautiful example of mountain modern architecture, this home designed by Buchanan Construction together with Miller Graves is nestled in the mountains of North Carolina. Step inside this 3,777 square foot, three bedrooms, and three-and-a-half bathroom home to find an open-concept layout with ample natural light, soaring ceilings, and vast entertaining spaces.

On the exterior, a handsome combination of wooden siding, light gray stone, and dark stucco combine to create a uniquely modern luxe aesthetic. A highly angular design, the home features a single slope roof line with alternating downslopes. A large screened porch supported by angular beams creates symmetry on the rear elevation.

With a light color palette and ample, oversized windows, the space is filled with natural light. Light marble, neutral cabinets, and flooring combine with occasional deep pops of color, including the powder bath and fireplace. A 16’ pocketing door opens the living space to a large screened porch with a fireplace. Modern light fixtures tie the modern aesthetic together throughout the home.

Looks nice, but I bet the energy bill is expensive due to all the high ceilings.

Although I do love the windows and light, the house is too cold and sterile for me. I also do not like my kitchen to be fully open to the living area.

I really appreciate all the pictures of the whole house outside. A lot of times we don’t get to see it all, so thank you. I’m sure it’s because you all don’t get them either. I love this design! Love all the windows and the super high ceilings. Makes it feel larger. I am a fan of wide open spaces. Very well done
