This stunning lake house, custom-designed by Thompson Construction together with O’Hara Interiors, is nestled on the shores of a quiet Lake Minnetonka bay in Minnesota. Designed for family gatherings and entertaining, an open floor plan features a treehouse-like dining room that allows conversation to flow between guests as they cook, dine, and gather around the fireplace.
This lakeside dream home is the family home of senior designer Gabe Lindberg of O’Hara Interiors, who purchased it in 2013. It was originally a cabin that lacked character and charm. The original plan was to renovate, but eventually they opted to tear the home down and start fresh. Despite building anew, the designer wanted to honor the region by injecting touches of blues and greens while incorporating an abundance of windows to frame views of the water.
