Designed to be the heart of this Pennsylvania bank barn conversion, this 275-square-foot kitchen strikes a beautiful balance between rustic authenticity and contemporary elegance. Salvaged reclaimed wood beams and stone elements anchor the space, while the open layout flows seamlessly into the living and dining areas, perfect for both intimate family meals and large-scale entertaining. Builder’s Tip

Leaving the original stone walls exposed, rather than installing a tile backsplash, was a deliberate design choice that complements the home’s rustic, farm-inspired character.

Behind the Build

Preserving the exposed stone walls required exceptional precision from the craftsmen, who had to carefully scribe each cabinetry panel to fit perfectly against the irregular stone surface. The refrigerator panel pictured here is a great example of that meticulous scribe detail up close.
