On Point Farm is set in the rolling hills of Chester County, Pennsylvania, amidst large parcels of conserved open space, designed by John Milner Architects together with Griffiths Construction. The design of this residence is inspired by the vernacular fieldstone farmhouses that expanded incrementally over time in the region. A walled central courtyard provides a private and intimate transitional space between the house and the fields beyond.
The interior is organized around a central linear axis that links formal and informal spaces and incorporates components of antique woodwork acquired by the architects for their clients. The new stone barn is nestled into the landscape and is home to twelve event horses. Continue below to see the rest of this breathtaking home tour…

What We Love About This Home
This estate reads as authentically old, as if it grew from the land over generations, a testament to how deeply John Milner Architects understands regional vernacular tradition. We are captivated by the extraordinary attention to detail throughout, from the hand-forged iron hardware and antique woodwork components to the boldly painted interior rooms that feel rooted in 18th-century Pennsylvania precedent. The equestrian facilities are equally impressive, rivaling the main house in craftsmanship and offering a complete working farm aesthetic.
Tell Us: What is your favorite space in this Chester County farmhouse — the dramatic red dining room, the kitchen with its blue La Cornue range, or the stunning stone equestrian barn? Share your thoughts in the Comments below. We love hearing from you!
