Ambrose Custom Builders designed and built this award-winning barn-style house, nestled on 5.5 acres and situated less than a mile from Woodstock Village Green, Vermont. Encompassing 3,484 square feet of living spaces, this warm and welcoming home offers four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The house is architecturally designed to maximize natural light throughout the living space. The interior decor combines reclaimed 150-year-old Vermont beams with modern amenities. It features large windows, eight-foot doors, nine-foot ceilings, and an atrium that opens all the way to the cupola 35 feet above the first floor, allowing light to flood the interior spaces.

The classic covered porch overlooks a neighboring pond. Extensive renovations over the past three years include a new gourmet kitchen, updated appliances, upgraded bathrooms, and the complete finishing of the lower level into a living space with an additional bathroom.

The exterior is designed for low maintenance. The home’s high efficiency is enhanced by extensive use of closed-cell foam and blown cellulose insulation. Additionally, there is a Tesla vehicle charger in the garage.

Award-Winning Green House
This home received three top awards from the Vermont Association of Home Builders, including Best in Energy Efficiency, Best in Environmental Excellence, and Best Single Family Home.
