Step into this beautifully designed home in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains

This modern mountain home, designed by Veritas Fine Homes, was crafted to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape of Durango, Colorado, as if it had naturally grown from the rock, leaving the environment seemingly undisturbed. The owners had spent two years searching for their idyllic property, discovering a one-of-a-kind golf course lot at The Glacier Club, southwest Colorado’s premier mountain golf club and community, hidden in the San Juan Mountains.

Their house sits atop a rare black limestone with shallow-rooted ponderosa pines. Their vision was to create a modern, minimalist home that feels as though it naturally grew from the rock, leaving the landscape seemingly undisturbed. Continue below to see more of this extraordinary house…

The design features shallow mono-pitched and flat roofs, stone paver decks, and an impressive indoor golf simulator on the lower level, cleverly positioned beside a two-story glass curtain wall.

The home boasts stunning views of two opposing fairways. It includes a generous his/her primary closet, a massive three-car garage with an interior car wash bay, and ample space for off-road overlanding equipment.

With minimalist natural landscaping to complement the manicured golf course, the result is a home perfectly ‘nested in the boulders’ that seamlessly blends modern luxury with nature’s raw beauty.

Wait till we have another snowy winter. Those flat roofs will be extra neat.

It isn’t flat and it contains a heating element that at a low temperature melts accumulated snow or ice.

Sort of an upscale tract house on a big lot.
