Kelly & Stone Architects designed this award-winning mountain modern dwelling to seamlessly blend architecture and nature throughout, situated in the private mountain community of Clear Creek Tahoe, in Carson City, Nevada. Encompassing 6,724 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and six bathrooms, this dwelling boasts 270-degree views of Nevada’s Carson Valley, and surrounding mountain ranges.
From the exterior, this home is a sculptural masterpiece with its curvilinear metal roof forms that mirror the rise and fall of the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains. Combining cedar siding and basalt stone masonry gave the exterior a fresh, modern aesthetic. Upon approaching this home, you are greeted by a floating bridge suspended over a tranquil water feature leading to a nearly transparent facade.
