The contemporary family vacation home designed by Studio AM Architect | Interiors comes complete with a main house, guest house, and party barn, located on San Juan Island, Washington. The main residence is nestled on a low bluff with tranquil water views. Just like other structures throughout the estate, the color palette of the main house features a crisp white with pops of yellows and blues.
Spaces throughout the main house were designed to entertain, this includes an open living area, a bunk room for guest sleeping, and seating that allows for up to ten guests in the dining area and at the covered patio. What We Love: This amazing place has everything one could want in a vacation home, a main house, a guest house… and a party barn! We absolutely love the party barn, with its home bar that comes complete with extra drink fridges and a kegerator, along with the ping pong table and pool table, so much fun. The swimming pool is also incredible, so much space to have lots of fun. We are also enjoying all of the uplifting pops of yellow and the nautical-inspired pops of blue. So much detail went into the beautiful family retreat.

GUEST CABIN
The cabin is the ideal space for guests. Complete with a full bath, kitchen, and living space, it allows guests and homeowners to spend quality time together but permits restorative time apart. A custom blue fridge and range, provide a pop of color against the white cabinets. The logs were whitewashed to brighten and modernize the space, and the exterior was painted to match the other structures across the estate.
PARTY BARN
The homeowners are very active and competitive, desiring a new garden area that reflects their needs for recreation and relaxation. The barn remodel was a perfect extension of the new garden area and is now the perfect entertainment space with multiple zones for guests. When the weather is warmer, the barn doors can be opened for larger-scale entertaining and as a seamless transition to the garden and sports areas. Whitewashed cedar planking, polished concrete floors, and outdoor fabrics were used to maintain the functionality of the space.
