What once was a 1916 small cottage-style house was reimagined by John Lum Architecture, nestled in the quaint Glen Park community of San Francisco, California. Taking 18 months to complete, this ground-up renovation project established a spacious 4,029 square foot dwelling with five bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms on a spacious double lot for ultimate comfort and privacy.
The most impressive attribute of this dwelling is the open floor plan with soaring cathedral ceilings and skylights. Bold black windows with crisp white walls make a statement in this dwelling. The windows and doors were sourced from Sierra Pacific Windows, including Aspen Casements, Patio Sliders, Inswing Doors, and Special Shapes.

This property transports guests to a Northern California natural escape through the spacious rear decks that overlook the sprawling grassy lawn and protected old-growth redwood tree.
What We Love: This San Francisco house provides its owners with a beautiful renovation full of warmth and comfort. Large windows at the back of the property perfectly frame the majestic redwood tree, which can also be enjoyed from the outdoor decks. Overall, we are loving the redesign of this home, especially the centrally located kitchen with its stunning fireclay tile backsplash to tie the kitchen in with the tree.
