Step inside this beautiful shingle-style waterfront home in Connecticut

traditional-style-shingle-waterfront-home-exterior

This beautiful shingle-style waterfront home was designed by VanderHorn Architects, located on Mead Point in Greenwich, Connecticut. The dwelling was inspired by New England-style homes built in the early 1900s, taking advantage of modern construction and maximizing views of the Long Island Sound.

The exterior facade of this residence is characterized by a stone base, painted blue shingle upper story, and a hipped natural shingle roof. Tuscan columns add formality to the graceful front porch while a dynamic wood trellis connects the home to the outdoor living space and pool beyond. The masterful use of forms, textures, and material creates a quintessential form that will be timeless for generations.
