This striking modern mountain home was designed by Miller-Roodell Architects as an artists residence, offering convenient access to surrounding slopes in Aspen, Colorado. The homeowner requested to have this custom home be designed to maximize views of the rugged landscape. There needed to be a visual and physical connection to the slopes. Inside this 3,100 square foot home you will find reclaimed barn wood flooring and doors.
The kitchen and artist studio features steel fabricated ceiling trusses. An exquisite mix of material elements throughout the design includes glass, stone, steel and wood. The overall design reflects as uncompromisingly modern, yet still appears to have been a part of this landscape for decades. This home is visually an artistic masterpiece that is timeless
