This striking private modern residence was designed by Spagnuolo Architecture, located in the city of Londrina, in the state of Paraná, South Region, Brazil. This brilliantly designed home is infused with luxury from top to bottom. It’s L-shaped plan focuses on solar orientation to maximize energy efficiency. An outdoor deck integrates social and private areas and creates a seamless indoor-outdoor connection.
Inside this opulent 3,013 square foot (280 square meters) dwelling, movable walls helps to create flexibility and spatial integration. The interiors are filled with natural light thanks to expansive windows, large openings and soaring ceilings. Large pivoting doors in the great room invites you to the outdoor swimming pool and lush tropical gardens.
From the exterior facade, roof forms appear to float over the landscape, while sliding wooden panels control the entrance of light into the home. Set on a corner lot, the structure was cleverly articulated to give the homeowners privacy from the street. This spectacular project explores textures of raw materials such as stone, wood and concrete, helping to invoke a warm and contemporary atmosphere.
What We Love: This modern dwelling showcases clean lines, an attractive material palette and an amazing indoor-outdoor connection. With soaring ceilings and walls of glass, the overall effect is bright and airy living spaces that are luxurious yet comfortable. Although the design feels quite minimal with the use of concrete, wood accents helps to infuse warmth into the design.
