This spectacular modern duplex of 1,033 square feet (96 square meters) was spotted on Alvhem, located in Linnéstaden, a charming neighborhood in Gothenburg, Sweden. The interior of this welcoming two-story home features soaring ceilings, plenty of natural light, and exciting angles.
The living room showcases floor-to-ceiling glass windows that provide access to one of the three patios in this apartment home. The architect who designed this home understood the importance of natural light. The glazed section gives an almost floating feeling and effectively blurs the line between inside and out.
The walls are painted in white and the floor is adorned with an oak wood parquet. A built-in bookcase is displayed along one wall, helping to further emphasize the high ceilings and exciting angles. The space has a large sitting area with a spiral staircase in one corner to access the top level.
The spacious terrace provides an extension of the living room, a great spot to spend time during the warm summer months and look out over the rooftops while getting some fresh air.
Also on this level is the kitchen, which offers plenty of storage and a dining area to enjoy family meals. A balcony door leads out to a spacious patio where you can dine al fresco, overlooking a well-manicured, open courtyard. The first floor also provides a bedroom with courtyard views, crisp white walls, and oak parquet flooring. A spacious bathroom is also conveniently on this level, located between the entryway and the kitchen.
