This intriguing Scandinavian apartment features unique character and qualities that are inspired by the owners who are artists, located in Vasastaden, a large city district in central Stockholm, Sweden. Although small, this home of just 871 square feet (81 square meters) feels very spacious with white walls, high ceilings and light colored oak flooring. The interiors are inspired with an artistic flair that draws on the French side. Wonderful natural light illuminates the spaces from large windows and skylights in a continuous attic from south to north. An open plan kitchen and living area makes the space easy for entertaining and has a nice flow for anyone who lives here. A kitchen island allows for prepping and space for bar stool seating, perfect for casual dining. There are two fireplaces (the living room and bedroom) in this cozy home, perfect for those chilly Swedish winters. There is also a south facing terrace with built-in seating, shelving for plants and extra space for additional seating. The apartment was originally designed by Martine Colliander and has appeared in a number of décor articles.
What We Love: How the apartment is so luminous and feels spacious despite its small size. The space feels very cozy and inviting, the artwork helps to add punches of color to white walls that serve as a backdrop.
