A colorful summer house recaptures the essence of an Andalusian Farmhouse by interior designer Amparo Garrido, located in Carmona, in the province of Seville, Spain. The holiday home is nestled in a splendid olive grove, constructed with traditional architecture with an air of modernity. The property is beautiful both inside and out, with interiors that are cozy and inviting but not country. The construction lasted over two years, with the idea of a hut (traditional rural building), which can be seen in the interior roof structure. Inside, concrete flooring, high ceilings, an open plan kitchen and a harmonious flow between spaces makes the home feel open and airy. The beautiful decoration, textures and materials creates a timeless house that searches in the past yet is projected into the future. The home reflects space, color and light, played to perfection. Spreading out over one level, there are several bedrooms and an annex for guests. The idea was to use materials and elements that are natural and fresh. Outside, the porch has been painted completely white, which is not traditional, but is a fresh approach. Wooden posts support the porch to give shade, with plenty of seating areas to enjoy outdoor living. A swimming pool, flowing garden spaces and centuries-old olive trees whose fruit the owners would like to produce oil from, completes this charming holiday retreat.
We love how the home has a warm fusion of styles with bright colors and exotic prints. It really feels cozy and welcoming, especially the outdoor living spaces. On a warm summer day, that generous sized pool looks very enticing for a dip! What do you think, is there any features in this home that stands out to you?
