This stunning European-inspired mountain house was designed by Liz Hackett Interior together with BCA Architects located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We were excited to learn from the interior designer of this project that the inspiration for this project was curated from our daily home tours! Continue reading for all of the details about this project that was submitted to us by the talented interior designer of this home, Liz Hackett.
“It is a European-inspired mountain home that features lots of warmth, texture, and influence from the Appalachian mountains that surround us. This home was luckily spared by the recent hurricane with only site damage. We featured a lot of custom details, organic elements, and modern touches throughout to make the home feel both current but relaxed to reflect the owner’s personalities,” explains the designer.

“The client is a couple that built their dream home in Asheville who recently moved here with the intention of making this their forever home and city. They have a lot of kids and grandkids, and the goal was to have a place that everyone could come home to and enjoy being together. They are a very active couple who love to hike, explore Asheville, do yoga, and bike.”
“The house has a lot of character and most importantly I think it really ended up reflecting the personalities of the owners in a great way. It was a fun project to design with clients that soon became friends!” states the designer.
The home is approximately 4,000 square feet and has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It is located in a wooded development close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounded by the beauty of the mountains.
