This Nantucket-inspired dream house was built by Coastal Oaks Construction with interior design by Lauren Leonard Interiors, located in Atlantic Beach, a lovely beach community in Jacksonville, Florida. A blue theme was carried throughout the interiors of this home, making it feel light, bright, and youthful for this family of four with two dogs.

Throughout this home, the designer pulled inspiration from the fabrics, whether it be an area rug or artwork. The overall design channels both Nantucket Island and Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida — featuring a shingle-covered exterior with a muted coastal color palette and the warmth of wood. What We Love: This Atlantic Beach house has a dreamy blue and white color palette that provides a serene and relaxed vibe. The rooms flow beautifully together thanks to both the material and color palette. The designer did a beautiful job of adding texture to this home to add warmth to this home and compliment the crisp white walls. We love the gorgeous kitchen, perfect for those who love to cook, and the kid’s play space with its cozy workspaces and delightful covered porch with inviting swing beds.

Above: In the living room, the designer used the family’s existing sofa and complimented it with swivel chairs so they can turn them towards the porch when they gather out there, extending the living space. Creating a coastal aesthetic to the space along with warmth, the beautiful wood ceiling beams, fireplace mantel, and the grasscloth-covered coffee table.

Above: The kitchen is one of the impressive features (and what caught our eye) of this home. As one of the homeowners is a health and wellness coach, you can find her on Instagram, @b.b.wellness. The homeowner wanted a large island and commercial-grade appliances since this is where she spends most of her time cooking healthy meals. The handmade ceramic tile backsplash is from Walker Zanger, while the beautiful Piedmont Lanterns are from The Urban Electric Co.

Above: The owner’s bedroom offers a serene retreat, whose design was inspired by the indigo-colored grasscloth wallcovering on the accent wall behind the bed. The ceiling is clad in a white-washed pecky cypress. The driftwood appearance of this material evokes the beach. The texture compliments the white walls, helping infuse warmth into this space. 

Above: The kid’s retreat is situated on the upper level, providing a fabulous hangout spot. On temperate days, the sliding glass doors are fully open to welcome fresh breezes and Florida sunshine. This space offers a built-in desk for homework, a TV, and a spacious porch with daybeds for relaxing in the great outdoors.
