This stunning coastal-style home was designed by its owner, Karen B. Wolf of k+co LIVING, located in Long Beach, California. Created for summertime enjoyment, the designer wanted to share this home with three generations of her family. The design blends a “California Cool” style with a more traditional beach house aesthetic, infusing nautical-inspired hues with rustic textures.
It was important for the designer to create a vacation home that maintains the airy feel of relaxation while elevating the home with sophisticated finishes and accessories. She prioritized maximizing ocean views by situating the main living spaces on the top floor. This includes the living, dining, and kitchen areas in a completely open concept, while the owner’s bedroom suite is tucked away at the back.

FYI: The interior designers’ favorite go-to paint colors include: Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace White (clean bright white with a slight yellow undertone); Benjamin Moore Hale Navy (pure blue that is not too bright); and Sherwin-Williams Ghosted (a barely there white/gray with a stunning warm and cool undertone).
