This beautiful dream home in Stowe, Vermont takes its inspiration from New England barn-style homes, designed by Hutker Architects together with Jennifer Palumbo Interior Design. Created as a modern family getaway, this residence is nestled on a serene 13-acre property of meadows and mountains.
The inspiration here is heavily influenced by the barn-like vernacular of northern New England — informed by the context of deep, rich forests, emphasizing unobstructed views bringing the outside in. Simple gabled structures, connected by a flat roof volume, allow for easy navigation once inside the home.

The home’s design prioritizes well-being, aligning with the homeowner’s lifestyle preferences. With features like soaking and hot tubs, saunas, and dedicated exercise areas — all designed to maximize relaxation and a deep connection with the expansive surroundings. Positioned to capture views of Mount Mansfield to the north, the property nestles within the forested landscape.

Color plays an integral role in defining the aesthetic of this home’s design, drawing inspiration from the lush evergreens, the rich hues of tree trunks, and the shifting colors of foliage in its surroundings. Crafted as an organic extension of, and not an addition to, the landscape, the home seamlessly merges luxury with seclusion, promising tranquility at every corner.
