This Steamboat Springs mountain home gets a nature-inspired transformation

mountain home exterior nestled amidst aspen trees

Rumor Designs together with Fox Construction has reimagined this gorgeous mountain home nestled in the aspens of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This dwelling had great bones and traditional elements that provided an inspiring canvas for the new design. The goal was to modernize the interior spaces and create a more inviting mood for this home’s new inhabitants – a lively, young family.

This house was going to be the family’s full-time residence and was occupied throughout the design process. The homeowner’s goals were to maximize living spaces and create more casual areas to spend family time. The original glass sliding doors that partitioned each space were retained in the upgraded home design for their practicality, particularly for the family working from home.
