This inviting lake house was completely reimagined as a family summer retreat by O’Hara Interiors, located in Hayward, a city in northern Wisconsin. A few years ago, a newly retired couple had decided to tear down their old family cabin and usher in a new era of memories in a custom-built retreat that would be used for dining, entertaining, and plenty of lakeside fun.

With this family’s various needs and uses in mind, durable materials and heirloom furniture were carefully selected to add a personal touch to their lake home. What We Love: This Wisconsin lake house boasts pops of color and a touch of whimsy, filled with a mix of family heirlooms and stylish furnishings to create an idyllic setting for making lasting family memories. We love how warm and welcoming this family retreat is. The designers did a beautiful job of selecting a material and color palette that has a timeless feel that adds to the home’s overall inviting atmosphere.
