Above: The exterior color palette of the black modern farmhouse includes dark-toned board & batten siding below with natural American Cedar plank above. The paint color is called Gentlemanโs Navy Blue. The light fixtures are by Avenue Lighting.
Above: White oak trim can be found on every window and doorway to soften the contrast of the black windows and the white interior paneling.
Above: Meticulous attention to the details can be found throughout this home. Notice the brass highlights on the white oak ceiling beams โ a fun modern touch on a classic design element. The light fixtures were sourced from Avenue Lighting.

Above: The family room features floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, opening to a beautiful backyard. Step outside to an entertainer’s delight, where you will find fresh landscaping, an oversized pool/spa, a grassy area, and a built-in barbecue. Note: The builders were constrained by the City of LA size restrictions on the home’s square footage, so they designed the biggest sliding doorways possible to maximize the feeling of scale.
Above: This relaxing space at the top of the grand stairway provides a sanctuary inside the home. It sits opposite a built-in wall library and creates a soft barrier between the main bedroom and the childrenโs rooms.
Above: Upstairs you will find a spacious owner’s bedroom suite with vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, a walk-in closet, and a luxurious bath. Just off the bedroom is a cozy entertainment nook.
Above: Contrast was used to create warmth in this modern farmhouse. Natural finished American cedar siding on the second level and bright LED down lighting was used to create a bright juxtaposition against the black cement siding. The pool has a very dark navy blue pebble, highlighted by electric blue underwater lights to create a soft glow at night.
Above: What appears to be Jet Black from a distance is actually Midnight Blue, a paint scheme that is much warmer and softer on the eye up close.
