The Sandbox Studio has designed this beautiful mountain farmhouse-style retreat that exudes a hint of Napa Valley chic, located in Aspen, Colorado. The project team created comfortable living spaces for this family of six, harmoniously blending traditional gable roofs, painted exterior finishes, and white shiplap siding to seamlessly integrate with the historic charm of the surrounding neighborhood.

As you step inside, a shift occurs in the interior – a sophisticated, urbane essence takes center stage. The canvas is enlivened with a refined interplay of black, white, and brass tones, punctuated by splashes of color via carefully curated artwork, meticulously selected over a series of shopping excursions with the homeowner.

Interior designer Sarah Jones created beautiful living spaces that reflect the personality of its owners. The visually striking black, white, and gold color scheme takes inspiration from the homeowner’s own wardrobe. The use of tone-on-tone color adds depth, despite the simplified color scheme.

Brass fixtures and lighting gracefully infuse the spaces with luminance and inviting warmth, enhancing the overall ambiance. Furthermore, the homeowner’s affinity for plush, fuzzy textiles finds its manifestation through the presence of Stark rugs that artfully grace the floors, offering both an inviting coziness and an embodiment of livability.

What We Love: This farmhouse mountain retreat features beautiful Napa Valley-inspired details throughout its 4,840-square-foot layout. We are loving every element in this home, from the color palette to the gorgeous surroundings. Overall, this dwelling embodies an elegance and chic aesthetic that is expected of the region, while simultaneously embracing a warm and inviting mountain atmosphere that’s both cozy and livable.
