Casual elegance and timeless design blend together in this beautiful home designed by Swan Architecture in collaboration with City Homes, located in Edina, Minnesota. Nestled on a spacious wooded lot with panoramic views of Minnehaha Creek, this cottage-like home boasts 5,105 square feet with five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The design of this home places emphasis on connecting indoor spaces with the natural surroundings. Visitors will notice the stunning landscaping leading up to the home, adding fantastic curb appeal. The backyard gardens are defined by enormous boulders — some as large as 8 feet high by 5 feet wide.

Underneath the dwelling’s cedar shake-covered roof, the gables flare out at the bottom instead of running straight down, providing an eye-catching design detail.
Blue paint on the underside of the front entry stoop was a personal touch desired by the homeowners, who were inspired by homes in the South.
