An English gothic style home gets a stunning makeover in San Francisco

This project involves the renovation and expansion of a 1930’s English Gothic style home by Gast Architects, located in San Francisco, California. From the back of the property, the home opens out to a spacious courtyard. The architecture has been completely renovated, yet respects the historical heritage of this home. The dining and living rooms boast beautiful garden views through floor-to-ceiling steel framed windows and doors — offering exterior trellising for privacy and shading.

A brand new staircase design surrounds a built-in hutch, which connects the renovated kitchen and dining areas with the bedroom above and the garage and basement storage, wine cellar and laundry room below. Reconfigured rooms and upgraded systems throughout the home helps to bring it into the current day.

An amazing, beautiful home!! It feels like a home I would love to live in instead of the usual convention center type homes!
