Inside an inviting coastal lakeside retreat in Florida with breathtaking views

coastal-lakeside-retreat-exterior

Geoff Chick & Associates in collaboration with Lovelace Interiors has designed this inviting coastal lakeside retreat located in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Large windows help to flood the interiors with natural light, creating a light and airy feel. The windows help to frame captivating views over Alligator dune lake and the Gulf of Mexico.

The surrounding landscape inspired the soft color palette to pair with the earthy tabby shell fireplace, pecky cypress ceilings, and dark hardwood floors. Cozy, comfortable seating and performance fabrics accommodate a large family and their friends throughout the multiple lounge spaces. The interiors and nature merge thanks to the folding door systems and a variety of outdoor living spaces.

What We Love: This beautiful coastal lakeside retreat offers its inhabitants breezy, light-filled living spaces. The project team did a wonderful job of creating a relaxing and casual atmosphere. A screened-in porch provides the perfect waterside spot to enjoy alfresco dining… while shielded from the elements and the bugs! Overall, a stunning home for both living and entertaining with the most idyllic views.

Nice if you like alligators, possibly in your pool. And make no mistake, that lake is full of them.

Beautiful architectural detailing inside and out…. but, where is the COLOR inside? Too drab… Regardless of what’s in what’s out… we need color in our lives, especially now. Without it in our surroundings, it’s like watching a black and white movie. No depth, no interest, no emotions, etc. I’ve been an artist for 55 years and an interior designer for 25 years and a realtor for 12 years.

Love it beautiful. It does bother me to see that wood beam treatment on the fireplace. I’m sure it’s a code issue for a wood-burning fireplace to keep the distance from the opening and to deflect heat from the TV but it needs to be reworked. 30 years in the fireplace business Rita
