This mountain modern home was designed by Walton Architecture + Engineering, located in the Martis Camp community of Truckee, California. The exterior landscape of this property features a creek that meanders under a glass bridge that separates the primary suite from the main home and later reappears for an encore on the back patio which overlooks the forests and pathways and beyond to the fifth hole of the Tom Fazio golf course.
That water feature was a key element for design team who integrated its energy into this 6,397-square-foot, five bedroom, five-and-half bath dwelling. Inside you will find intricate details such as the artistic use of tile, the steel beams that run the length of the ceiling, and the pocket doors that disappear between the great room and patio.

The sliding window at the breakfast nook allows for conversations between those in the kitchen and whoever’s manning the grill in the covered barbecue bay on the expansive patio.
The living room features an abundance of natural light with its wall of windows that leads to the patio and hot tub.
The hallway to the primary bedroom is an elevated, glassed-in bridge that traverses the creek, arriving at a scene with stunning views.
Upstairs is a bedroom and a bunkroom that looks out over that forest beyond the creek that doubles as a kid’s paradise.
