Modern Spanish revival home with dreamy interiors in Northern California

SDG Architecture along with Amanda Teal Design collaborated to create this warm and inviting modern Spanish revival home located in Orinda, a city in Contra Costa County, California. Simplistic in nature, the dwelling offers the casual ambiance of a Spanish Revival with a contemporary theme throughout.

This Spanish Transitional style is characterized by a warm aesthetic and this vernacular is achieved through simple form and massing, the use of heavy timbers, traditional window elements, arched colonnades, and iron accents. Additionally, clean lines, neutral colors, minimalistic window frames, and large expanses of glass symbolize the contemporary influence.

What We Love: This beautiful modern Spanish revival home features light-filled living spaces with stylish interiors and a beautiful material palette. Warmth can be found throughout, with a layering of textures, wood flooring, and wood ceiling beams. We are especially loving the outdoor courtyard with the pass-through kitchen to the outdoor bar and elegant yet relaxed living spaces for a quintessentially California feel.

Tell Us: What details in this home do you find most inspiring and why in the Comments below, we love reading your feedback!
