RGS Architecture together with Robyn Scott Interiors have reimagined this gorgeous mountain getaway home, located in Snowmass Village, Colorado. The dwelling was designed and built in the mid-1990s and the owner wished to update this home to accommodate a growing family with lots of grandkids.
The project team added a bunk bedroom, which now offers a total of six bedroom and bathrooms for overnight guests. They flipped the dining room and kitchen to create an expansive great room gathering spot. They also flipped the entry staircase, enhancing the entry experience. The exterior finishes were changed to enhance this home’s curb appeal, while also adding a brand new garage.

The whole house was taken down to the studs. Brand-new materials and finishes were brought in, including flooring, tile, stone, plumbing, doors, hardware, appliances, lighting, furniture, landscape, and more. The interior scheme reflects a beautiful contemporary aesthetic, layered with modern furnishings, taupe and beige textures, dramatic lighting, alpine accents, and impeccable art.
What We Love: This Colorado mountain getaway home showcases an inviting remodel for family gatherings courtesy of beautiful materials, fixtures, furnishings, and finishes throughout its interiors. Living spaces have been opened up to create a harmonious flow between spaces while new rooms have been added for additional comfort and flexibility when hosting extended family. We especially love the magnificent views through the windows and the attractive layout of the great room.
