Tropical modern beach house boasting luminous interiors in Key Biscayne

beach-house-exterior

This tropical modern beach house designed by Zubillaga Design with interiors by Maite Granda is located in Key Biscayne, a Florida town on a barrier island across the Rickenbacker Causeway from Miami. A family with three small children moved from Switzerland to Miami to get a fresh start, falling in love with this fascinating home.

An exterior facade of white stucco with horizontal planks of red cedar drew the owners to purchase the residence. Inside, bright and airy living spaces are courtesy of limestone and marble along with extensive glazing. The light was something the family loved most about this home. While on an overseas trip to Miami, the wife met with the design, whose style she admired from viewing her portfolio online. During their interview, the homeowner brought a collage of photos that offered an insight into the family’s lifestyle. This helped to inspire the design — everything from the family’s hobbies to their sports aficionados.

The highlight of this home is the kid’s rooms, each brimming with their own distinct personality. With three children, the boy is very creative, always building, especially with Legos. The oldest daughter is highly artistic, dressing up in costumes and she loves to sing While the little one is still blossoming.

Sorry, beautiful house but I don’t believe it is a beach house. Not one photo of the beach nor any of the house taken from the beach. It could be in the middle of a tropical jungle for all we know but again beautiful house lousy job on the photography..
