Capture the look of wintry-rustic elegance in your home by decorating your Christmas trees with a winter wonderland theme. Flocked trees can be used to create this look, or you can take a green tree and add a white garland of fur or even polyester fiberfill from an old pillow. We have gathered together a collection of ideas below to help get you started on your own wintry-rustic Christmas tree theme.
When decorating your tree, be sure to add texture, fullness, and detail with decor options such as pinecones, flowers, berries, or even extra greenery. Nestle them in between branches or wherever you can find an opening. You can either push them all the way into the tree to appear more like ornaments or leave them hanging further out to create a more visually dramatic effect. Have a look below for some fantastic inspiration!

4. Rustic Wintry Elegance. To decorate this tree, begin with adding lights if your tree is not already pre-lit. Weave ribbon into the branches, beginning with the top of the tree (above you can see a detail of the Victorian cutout champaign ribbons). Add bulbs, beginning with the larger bulbs and filling out your tree. Next, use smaller ornaments to fill in the gaps. Add additional decor into the branches anywhere there is space. Our favorite feature on this tree is the small LED candles that add a soft flicker, they would look fabulous on a bare tree! (via Love Grows Wild)
5. Rustic Woodland Christmas. Add a Christmas tree to your bedroom for a very merry Christmas. The cozy bedding is the woodland duvet set, which can be found at the link provided. (via @H&M Home)
6. Wine Barrel Tree Base. A gorgeous rustic tree with a wooden barrel Christmas tree collar. DIY this look with a half barrel planter from a hardware store. Use a drill to start the hole, finishing with a jigsaw to cut out the bottom. You could also drill a hole into the bottom of a planter barrel with a drill bit large enough to fit your Christmas tree pole. TIP: If the tree is less than 5-feet high, no hole is necessary. Balance the tree with an old blanket or throw wrapped around the base and tucked into the planter. Notice the charming vintage touches like the sled!? (via @charlotteshappyhome)
